Yes, the annual official meeting of the B.I.G-challenge was still a success thank to the excellent job managed by Claudio Montefusco, but also thank to the landscape of Catalogne itself.
This meeting happened last week. The members having taken part in one way or another are coming from 7 different countries. The spanish were mainly Claudio Montefusco and Bernat Sala, with Roger Sala, Angel Morales as cyclists, Luis-Miguel Sainz-Peña, Xavier Cosials as visitors. Many french members with Jean-Luc Le Tutour, François Candau, Daniel Briollet and his wife, Marc Seguy and his wife, Michel Ménard and his wife. The italian members were Enrico Alberini and Luigi Capellani. The hungarian members were Gabór Kreicsi and Balasz Abraham. In solo were the dutch Rob Bosdijk, the swedish Fredrik Granlund, and the belgian Daniel Gobert.
After a rainy day, particularly wet in the top of the Turo de l'Home and a little less in Collformic; sunny days met our cycloclimbers on tuesday for Bracons and Vallter 2000, on wednesday for Rasos de Peguera and Pal, on thursday for Cantó and Bonaigua (with wind too!) and finally on friday for the steep Llac de Sant Maurici and the splendid climb into the rocks of the Monastir de Montserrat.
The ambiance was always friendly, with a tremendous cross of every different languages around the table. Few technical problems even if Enrico was sometimes unlucky.
We would like to thank Claudio very much, for this large and deep preparation and management on the field. No ironbig in Collformic for him because he preferred to help us than to win another trophee. We offer him consequently a golden statue on the top.
