1) Claim date
 It is now possible to enter a full date when you claim a BIG ascent.
 It used to be the case that you had to enter the year, and this is still the case,
 but now you can add the month and day also.
 
 Should you want to add the date also for BIGs that you have already claimed, then
 this is possible as follows: Go to the BIG that you already claimed and click on
 the button with the grey color that says: Claimed. Then enter the day, month and
 year and click on the "Update" button.

 

 Please note that in case you have cycled 164 BIGs or more that it is mandatory to
 enter the full date (dd-mm-yyyy).

 

 

In case you have not yet cycled 164 BIGs then
 you are allowed to leave day and month empty.

 

 In case you are a new member and registered on 06-04-2018 then it is possible to
 register BIG ascents that you cycled prior to that date also. And in that case the
 full date is not required as you may not recall the exact day and month.

 

2) Privacy
 BIG has started to take the first steps to introduce a privacy policy for its members.
 When you go to MyBIG and then select the menu option Settings then you can choose the
 option Privacy.

 

And what can you do there?
 a) When a member logs in to the BIG website then there is a so called "Feed" at
  the bottom of the webpage. It shows which members have claimed one or more new
  BIGs or who have entered a note for a BIG. You can now select if you want your
  new BIG claims and notes to be visible in this Feed to Nobody, or that these
  are visible to all BIG members or that these are only visible for the BIG members
  you have selected as friend.
 b) Secondly you can indicate there if in your list of claims if visitors (none BIG
  members), BIG members or BIG friends can see either the full date (dd-mm-yyy),
  only the year or nothing next to your claimed BIG ascents.

 

3) Shout and Applaude!
 We used to have a feature on the previous website where you could react on claims made
 by BIG members who you had selected as friends. This feature is back now but tied to
 the "Feed" that shows new claims and notes on the bottom of the webpage.
 You can see a text balloon with a figure in it that shows the amount of comments have
 been entered for that claim or note. If you want to enter a new comment then just click
 the text balloon, enter a comment and click on the "Submit" button.
 We have also added an "Applause" button which is similar to the Like button on Facebook
 or the Kudo button on Strava. It's a quick way to indicate to show to another member
 you appreciate what he did. The number shows the amount of members who have applauded
 for that action and when you hover above the "Applause" button with your cursor, you
 can see which members have applauded for that claim/note.

The idea is that when you have applauded that the hands and text ballon will be completely
 filled with green (under construction)
