DEKKERS Helmuth - 24-06-2024:
Thanks Robert. I got a confirmation today from MTB Sinai that the SW side is as is shown now on the BIG website. You beat me to it as I expected this but wanted confirmation which we now have from MTB Sinai.
NOTA
CHARBONNIER Robert - 24-06-2024:
-------------------------------------------------
The SW track had a small error leading to the portal in question: see the photo with the erroneous track (purple) leading to the portal (circled in red) and the correct track (yellow).
The SW route has thus been corrected and reactivated.
The study of this summit also led us to add an S side from Sinnai via Tasonis, plus a W side from Dolianova.

DEKKERS Helmuth - 16-06-2024:
Cycled the SW side today. After approximately 20km there was a gate. The same gate is on the pictures of the BIG site already. But it was locked! I could not continue to the top that way. This SW side must be blocked as a BIG side.

Thank you, Helmuth and Christiaan for those precious last informations. We modified the sides as requested.

WEYTMANS Christiaan - 16-06-2024:
Sorry Helmuth, we placed that picture of the fence on the website but forgot to write a notition: we cycled the same side of Serpeddi during the meeting Sardegna in 2023. We totally agree with you: beside the terrible condition of the road with big stones and rocks as others described it, it is impossible to reach the top from this side due to the fence: this side should be blocked!
And the other side from Burcei, as Gabor described it, is not suitable for roadbikes: to do it without walking, you need a MTB.
NOTA
KREICSI Gabor - 03-10-2023:
I climbed this peak from side of SE. I think the foot isn't the vilage of Burcei. Must be least the pass of Genna de Tidu (430 m). So from the village of Burcei the road goes up and after goes down. In all 3 km (the DOL 40 m up and 120 m down). At the and of asphalt going the gravel section. It doesn't light so hard. By roadbike only on foot. This section 5,4 km lenght include 400 m DOL. Surprise the last section will be again tarmac. 800 m lenght with 90 m DOL. This is a hard BIG, but the landscape and the nature are very nice.

NOOTENBOOM Louis - 04-10-2020:
I did the SW route today on a gravel bike with 47 mm tires. It was on the limit. If you consider to ride this route take a MTB. The road is in terrible condition with big rocks. After the summit I descended to Burcei about 7 km of a much better road, but on a road bike it will be very tough and not recommended. After Burcei it’s all tarmac to Cagliari.

Also from Burcei the road is unpaved for about 6 km, very hard with a road-bike.

SEGUY Marc - 23-07-2012:
Marc SEGUY
