2012 : SUMMARY OF THE YEAR (4/4)
28-12-2012End of the analysis of the 2012 year, 27th year of our B.I.G challenge, under four chapters : the events, the evolution, the website and the material.
4) THE MATERIAL
What about the material linked to the BIG-challenge ?
a) the clothes
The clothes aren't sold very often but finally, watching to the pictures, members often wear those blue-yellow stars jerseys, shorts and pirat pans when they are climbing some bigs. Obviously, it's not like a review, or a contribution, one doesn't have to buy clothes every year. Thank to our clothes'manager, those clothes arrived fit and well at destination when an order is requested.
Good innovation of this last year : the appearance of the gloves. Don't hesitate to order them, just to see youyr transpiration coming down to them when climbing and suffering hardly ;-)
b) the trophees
There are suggestions to offer some better diplomas to our members when they are reaching a step in the evolution of their own classements. The current ones are very poor of design and seem one century ago ;-)
The trophees, thank to our trophee's manager, are better. Our two winners of the superlist 1000 have received this year the trophee-1000 and some have received their medal-500.
c) The stickers
No evolution for the stickers this year instead of some which have been placed on some roadsigns on the top of some bigs.
d) The review
The review has been better dispatched to the houses this year. Less postal problems : it's a good thing. The reviews follow the way of the contributions. Around 5% of the members are ordering it. This review is nevertheless a mine of informations, texts , adventures and motivations.
e) The newsletters
Thank to the enormous work of Helmuth since 7 years, the newsletters were alive threeemonthly with a solid team of writers and translators. The poll to see if it's really read is a little disappointing according to the lot of work requested. In 2013-2014, we're working to imagine a new way to give informations to our members regularly. More informations very soon.
f) The forum
Just like before. A very "live" hungarian section and some interesting videos from time to time... But no real debate about the big and no real main information inside...
g) The counts
The financial counts of the BIG-challenge are like every year visible with all details in the annual review but let's say that thank to our very regular treasurer, the counts are solid. We're thinking of the way to spend some money efficiently for our members in the coming 2 years.
To end this summary, let's have a thougth to Patrick Plaine, one of our top20 in the general classement and dead on the road, killed by a tractor, at the end of the year.
And after this summary in 4 points, we'll begin the year 2013 by explaining in 4 points too, our targets for 2013-2014.
