We've now less than a year before the proposed BIG 35 year birthday event that Heiko Linnert, Christiaan Weytmans, myself and others had planned for 2020 but due to the pandemic this had been postponed until September 2022. It would be really good - and essential really, that we begin to plan again for the event. It celebrates the 35 years of the BIG organisation by climbing the 35 BIGs and combining it by cycling the length of the UK from Lands End in Cornwall to John O'Groats in Caithness. In 2020 approx 20 cyclists were keen to take part in the 3 week trek of approx 80 miles / 130km each day. The tour is detailed on the BIG website under the meetings section. Openrunner routes have been created. Can we start the discussion again? Who is interested in taking part? I will attempt to arrange accommodation providing I receive booking deposits beforehand. I don't want to be left 'holding the baby' and owing accommodation costs to guest houses. I would like to know who is interested in taking part and where each person will start and finish along the route if they're unable to cycle the whole way due to work commitments, time, cash flow, etc. I would like to get the list of participants together as soon as possible.
